About our Lead Trainer

Training is led by Internationally Renowned Claudia McGloin, one of Ireland’s Leading Multi-Award Winning Specialist Medical Aesthetic and Orthopaedic Nurse Practitioners. Claudia qualified from Anglia Ruskin University as a Registered Nurse and has over 26+ years nursing experience, 13 of which have been solely in Medical Aesthetics. Claudia holds dual nursing registration in both the UK and Ireland.

Claudia has worked in some of London’s top NHS hospitals and has gained valuable clinical experience, skills and knowledge in a variety of clinical settings at varying levels of seniority throughout her career. Her expertise of over 26+ years has seen her specialising as an Advanced Trauma & Orthopaedic Nurse Practitioner setting up and running her own Nurse Led Clinics in the Orthopaedic Outpatient Department. In addition, Claudia was also the Trauma & Orthopaedic Outpatient Department Manager, Trauma & Orthopaedic Nurse Co-ordinator and Limb Reconstruction Nurse Specialist. For a time Claudia was also Deputy to the Modern Matron for Trauma & Orthopaedics. Claudia moved into Private Healthcare Practice 13 years ago and is now specialising in Regenerative Medicine, Functional Medicine, Aesthetic Medicine, Women’s Health and Healthy Weight Management.

Claudia has a wealth of experience and expertise and has pioneered new products and treatments. She continues to deliver excellence and gold standards for her patients. Claudia has had extensive training throughout Europe and the UK and continues to lead the way by training other doctors and nurses to her high standards in both the UK and Ireland.

Claudia is a consultant trainer for Med&Skin on behalf of Skin Tech Pharma Group and was a previous trainer for Aesthetic Source.

Throughout her career, Claudia has conducted numerous Clinical Audits, Clinical Trials and Clinical Research and has presented internationally at conferences. She has also written many peer reviewed articles published in Surgical Journals, Medical Aesthetics Journals and various newspapers & magazines. Claudia is regularly interviewed and quoted in the media and is a frequent author for the only peer reviewed ournal of Aesthetic Nursing.

Claudia has been trained to the highest levels and has very high standards in all areas of her specialities. She has been trained by some of the worlds leading experts from the US, Europe and UK such as Consultant Plastic Surgeon Mr. Adrian Richards, Prof Mark Whiteley Consultant Vascular Surgeon and Vein Expert, Julie Horn RN Lip expert and Dr Daniel Sister, a world renowned Cosmetic, Anti-Ageing, Hormone Specialist and Leading Expert in Dracula PRP Therapy ™ in London. The New You Clinic was the first clinic in Ireland to introduce Dracula PRP Therapy ™ and continues to be the first at introducing treatments, skincarwe and therapies.

Claudia is an international expert in Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and has co created a medical procedure called Rejuvula for menopausal women with Dr Sister using Dracula Therapy. She was the first female practitioner to inject for Vagina Rejuvenation in Europe and continues to offer this procedure exclusively in Sligo. Claudia also presents internationally on PRP and has written several peer reviewed journal articles as well as a chapter in a book on PRP. Claudia specialises in using PRP for Orthopaedics following on from her NHS career in Orthopaedics. She also completed a degree in Orthopaedic Nursing in London.

Patient Safety is another passion of Claudia’s following her own personal experience of Wrong Site Surgery in 2007. Claudia is involved with the Safe Surgery Saves Lives Campaign and sits on the World Health Organisation (WHO) Surgical Checklist Implementation Advisory Board. Claudia has also been liaising with Action Against Medical Accidents (AVMA), National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) and the Association of Perioperative Practice (AFPP) and was invited to speak at the AFPP Annual Congress and Exhibition in Harrogate in 2009. Her story was published in the AVMA Newsletter and the Journal of Perioperative Surgery. Claudia will continue to work within this area to highlight the importance of Patient Safety and The Safe Surgery Saves Lives Campaign. Claudia is also a Patient for Patients Safety Champion in Ireland. Claudia was invited by Dr. James Reilly Minister for Health to become a Member of the National Clinical Effectiveness Committee (NCEC).

Claudia has also completed an Intensive Expert Witness Course in London which will now see her undertake the role as a Nursing Expert Witness. Claudia will specialise in Clinical Negligence in areas such as Trauma & Orthopaedics, Wound Care, Nursing Negligence and Patient Safety.

Claudia has also completed a Medical Law and Ethics Course at the University of Edinburgh.

Claudia strictly adheres to the Codes of Conduct, Standards and Ethics as set out by the Nursing and Midwifery Council and An Bord Altranais and ensures the strictest policy of Patient and Client Confidentiality. Claudia also follows the strict laws and guidelines outlined by the Irish Medicines Board (IMB) on the use of Botulinum Toxin and other Prescription Only Medications (POM) in Ireland and the UK.

Claudia has presented internationally at conferences on a variety of topics including PRP and is a featured writer and peer reviewer for the Journal of Aesthetic Nursing. She is also regularly featured in the media. She is passionate about Patient safety and is highly involved in educating the public on safety and highlighting issues regarding the lack of regulation within the Aesthetic Medicine sector.

Claudia is also an Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Aesthetic Nursing and Aesthetic Medicine. 

In addition, Claudia also has created two of her own skincare brands New You® and Skin Essentials for Men which are used in conjunction with medical procedures at The New You Clinic. She has also created Health and Protein Supplements.
